Vehicle Theft Statistics
More than 300,000 vehicles stolen every year in Europe and the UK, the UK reaching a staggering 100,000 a year. Stealing to order
is probably one of the main factors driving these statistics up.
Latest Report from the HOME OFFICE of Crime in England and Wales 2008/09
Vehicle-related theft accounts for 14% of all BCS crime. Offences against vehicles account for 13% of recorded crime.
For both burglary and vehicle-related thefts, households who do not have security measures in place were at higher risk of victimisation.
